The screen in Madden 15 is overly effective.
This video will help you understand how multiple screens work and how to defend them.
One type of screen that is not discussed in the video is the hot routed smoke screen. For this play, simply man a defender on the outside most WR. The smoke screen can only be hot routed to the outside WR, so this tells you where it is going.
The first game we are going to take a look at is called Dead Pixles. This game is a retro style, survival horror game. The visuals are enough to make any retro gamer excited!
In Dead Pixels, you get multiple weapons to choose from, but ammo is limited. Your ability to carry supplies is also limited. Once you fill your stock to a certain point, your character moves at a snails pace.
In my First Take, I did not like this feature, but as I have play the game more I feel this heightens the survival horror element of the game. Check out the episode of First Take below!
The second zombie game I tackled is called Contagion. Like Dead Pixels, I downloaded this game for my PC on Steam.
The game lacks a campaign mode and only has an online feature. You can play against humans or work cooperatively with them in miltiple different game modes.
A cool feature to this game is the fact that once you die, you become a zombie. You can then conspire with other dead players to eliminate players that are still alive. Talk about a dream come true!
The game is very fun and something I often throw in between games of Madden!

Knowing how to run the ball in Madden 15 can take time. One has to become familiar with defensive fronts, count numbers quickly, make the proper adjustments and snap the ball. It is a difficult process, especially if you don’t have a formal football background.
Because of this, many of my videos discuss offensive line blocking and how to run the ball against different style fronts. This video is of no exception.
Today we discuss how to run the Split zone out of both the Green Bay and Carolina playbooks. To run this play effectively, one must truly understand what they are looking at. Hopefully this video helps you out.
This video also discusses a way to “spin glitch” back side defenders. This is an effective way to get a big gain.

Zelda 2 is one of the most glorious NES games ever made. Many would disagree but I would call those people idiots… nah I wouldn’t. But I would think it in my head.
The game is an action RPG gem.
Even as a kid I could appreciate its amazingness. Even when I was lost for a full year and could not find the hidden town of Kasuto, I still loved to play this game.
Because my love for this game is so strong, it was the first game I chose to speedrun. Many veteran runners told me it would be a death sentence to begin with Zelda 2, but contrary to their warning, I love it!
Here is a New Game+ No Out of Bounds Zelda 2 speedrun I completed a few weeks ago. It currently places 8th on Speedrun.com.
I will continue to improve on this time and look forward to making progress on this, and other Zelda 2 speedruns!
So many seem to focus on the negative aspects of gaming, but the benefits of gaming are never actualized. Depending on a person’s experience, he or she might highlight a different positive, but here is my take.
Competitive gaming is very similar to life. In game, many things often don’t go your way. A bit of luck is involved and if the ball doesn’t bounce your way (literally and figuratively!) it can make it extremely difficult to reach your end goal and become successful. Because of this, you must fight through adversity and hardships that are out of your control in order to achieve success.
Life is the very same way. Some people come from bad home situations, have little to relatively no money, and have to fight an up hill battle just to even the playing field with others.
Fighting through adversity in search of a positive result helps build a person’s character. Traits like work ethic, dedication, resiliency, pride and confidence are only a few of the traits developed through these kinds of experiences.
Conquering obstacles in order to reach success also builds an appreciation for your accomplishments. If someone were to hand you the championship or the perfect job you wouldn’t appreciate it as much because you didn’t have to work for it. You never earned it.
Through failure people become successful. I truly believe that. With every let down and hardship a person’s character becomes slightly stronger.
Below is a video where I experience a few hardships during a game of Madden 15. In the video I discuss some of the benefits of gaming and elaborate on some of the ideas expressed in this article.

The mesh concept is a very common passing scheme that utilizes route combinations to create space and confusion. The key to this kind of passing concept are the two shallow crosses in the middle of the field. As they pass the intermediate zone defenders, confusion sets in and the defenders have to choose which wide receiver to cover. This is called the mesh point.
The double flat and wheel patterns cause the buzz, or sideline defenders, to widen creating space to throw the ball in between the numbers and the hashes. It also creates space for the corner route if the defense happens to be in a cover 2 zone.
The mesh concept is a fundamental and simple passing philosophy that you see almost every NFL Sunday but very few actually realize it is happening.
Check out the video below to understand the mesh concept a bit better. The video delves into how the mesh concept should work in real life, then it analyzes how it actually worked in Madden 15. The video then discusses alterations to this concept to make it more Madden friendly, which ultimately will help you win games.

Many people haphazardly run both the strong power and counter in Madden 15. Many of the other runs in the game are forgotten, which is unfortunate.
In this Madden 15 gameplay commentary I run the Green Bay Packer offense and utilize the I Form Twin Te to perfection. The run game is simple, yet effective.
The simplicity of this offense is what makes it so special. Beginner to advanced Madden 15 players can utilize this type of offense and have a ton of success.
In this video I also give some defensive pointers. I also show off some of the adjustments I make on defense to stop the Pistol run game.

The Trey Open Offset
This set is great for passing but even better for running the ball. Utilizing the Counter, Wide Trap and Inside Zone will allow your run game to truly flourish. Check out the play breakdowns and tips in the video below.
Gun Bunch
Gun bunch awesome for creating mismatches as well as striking all parts of the field. Utilize these route combinations to effectively move the ball down field.
Trips Tight End
The Trips Tight End set gives the defense a different look as all three wide outs are on the left side of the field. This set is packed with awesome routes and screens to both sides of the field. Check out what makes this set so special.
Gun Tight TE Offset
The Gun Tight TE Offset is one of the best formations in the game. This formation is broken up into two videos. One covers the pass game while the other highlights the run game. You could literally run this formation all game and beat most competition. Enjoy!
